Comfort Quilters is a caring, hands-on ministry created to bring comfort to those in our church who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Guided by the truth of “He has sent me to bind the brokenhearted” (Isaiah 61:1), we make and share lap quilts as tangible expressions of love, prayer, and compassion during difficult seasons.
We are a multigenerational community where people of all skill levels—whether experienced sewers or complete beginners—come together to fellowship, create, learn, and teach. Through the simple but meaningful process of making quilts, relationships are built, skills are shared, and comfort is extended as we serve together with one heart and purpose.
Comfort Quilters meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from January through October, with two available time slots: 9:00am–12:00pm and 6:00pm–9:00pm. The ministry is led by a dedicated steering team: Deb Mann, Sharon Harmon, Jan Harts, Alisha Sweet, Rebekah Haynes, Tori McNeely, and Miranda Brookshire. Whether you come to sew, learn, or simply be part of a caring community, you are welcome to join us.
